I have a basset hound. Her name is Jazz. We saved her from the dog pound a couple of months ago. Ever since we have been in love. I am trying to convince my mom to get another Basset but she's to stubborn. I am wondering if anyone knows any tips on Basset grooming and there sheading seasons.

I have been playing hooky all afternoon at work enjoying the basset hounds on the Internet. I have a 7 1/2 month old tri-color basset hound named Dutch. He is so darling and I have been searching for other basset hound owners who share my enthusiasm over this breed. I have enjoyed all the pictures and plan to subscribe.

I know that I just might be a little prejudiced, but in reality I do have the worlds, best looking, charming and brilliant Basset , Shasta. I realize that other Basset owners might erroneoously feel the same about their best friend, my shast, verily is a paws down victor.
We have had Bassets since l986 asnd just lost our Molly a few weeks ago.If anyone knows of a female to adopt in the PA-MD-NJ area write me at ckpep@epix.net.We are thinking of getting a puppy as all our other dogs we adopted as adults but are open to older females.We dogsit a male so it must be a female so Teddy won't pick a fight.
