Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to saving basset hounds from shelters and neglectful homes. The adoption fee is $90 for males and $110 for females. This fee includes spaying or neutering, vaccinations, heartworm test, and fecal tests. The bassets are also provided with a collar and I.D. tag.

BHRG is only looking for owners who want an indoor dog. And they prefer that the prospective owner have a fenced in yard. Before adoption, BHRG performs an interview with the prospective owner and makes a home visit prior to adoption.
