Danny Weston's First Annual Saco River Meet was held on a perfect Sunday afternoon. A large turnout assembled to enjoy a great site and good water. I had the chance to jump back into a hydro after 28 years with Danny letting me "play and tweak" with his "WetBack 10" for the afternoon (thanks Danny). I had a blast even though the steering locked up on me halfway through a high speed turn (that brought back memories) and I ran out of fuel towing back the chase boats (brought back more memories).

There was always something going on with either the high powered runs of the hydro's or the kids putting around in the chase boats. Lots of stories swapped the air as well as a few "deals" for some needed parts.

I heard a certain Martin Outboard was having problems in previous meets but it seemed to run fine to me. Also a rumor in something about 7000 rpm equals 70 mph?????
