QUESTIONS: PAGE 3

A Question from Ane: If we work on ourselves and try to expand our consciousness, will we eventually begin to actually see other beings (4th and 5th dimensional beings for example), communicate with them and maybe work with them. If they need our assistance....

Vywamus's Response

Thank you for your question. The answer is that some will interact with beings in different dimensions by seeing them and some will not. However, the fact that one can see beings in different dimensions does not, of itself, indicate any special state of expanded consciousness. Nor does it indicate who is helping whom. I find that when there arises a concern about seeing or perceiving or interacting in any way with beings of other dimensions, it is always important to remember that there is no great sign of overall accomplishment in performing "spiritual magic". It is often a concern that you who are struggling so courageously in human form to know who you really are will get sidetracked by attempting to somehow reach beyond where or who you are in order to prove your worthiness or your spiritual sophistication.

It is really a much greater challenge for human beings to clearly see other humans for who they really are. You might even find that those in other dimensions who you seek are actually already before your very eyes even now. So, you may, indeed, find yourself looking deeply into other dimensions one day, but in order to appreciate what you will be seeing you must first look deeply into yourself and be willing to accept who you find there as being just as interesting and valuable as that which you can find anywhere in the universe, for in you the entire universe is to be found.

A Question from PA: Why do I struggle so much with money? I never feel like I have enough.

Vywamus's Response

You have precisely stated the issue presented by you question. You don't feel that you have enough money. It simply is not ever true that you don't actually have enough money, but you always feel that you don't have enough. The trick of effectively dealing with this feeling is to remember that it is your own feeling that is troublesome to you, not the state of reality at large.

The feeling of not having enough emerges from the belief that what is, including yourself, is not good enough. The truth is that what is is always good enough. In exploring this issue, remember that you are always in the present moment, and that what already is cannot, in the present moment, become something else. That is, what already is cannot in this moment be made to be different than it is in this moment. Add to that the fact that there is no moment except the present moment, and you can begin to see that it is not possible to ever change what is. This is an important understanding, but you must be careful to take it in accurately. It is not that you should become hopeless because you come to the conclusion that nothing in your life can ever be changed. The truth is that nothing needs to be changed, because there already and always is enough. The problem is that what is already enough is not experienced as being enough. Then the perception arises that what is is not enough.

In order to explore the truth of these assertions, you are going to have to be willing to consider the possibility that what does not feel enough to you might actually be enough. In other words, you are going to have to consider that your feeling does not emerge from the nature of reality, but rather emerges from some misconception regarding the nature of reality. You have already learned the concept that satisfaction is always available in any situation. This question you have asked gives you an opportunity to test the concept in you everyday life. Each time you notice yourself feeling that you do not have enough money, stop yourself and ask yourself if in the very moment you are in it is really true. Are your needs being met right then? Is there anything you must have that you don't have right then? Please be careful not to fall into the trap of thinking that because you believe you need something, you actually do need it. I am asking you to be as truthful as possible in assessing your present state of having enough while you enter into this process. If you are okay as far as you can tell right then when you are conducting your review, please notice that accurately. If you find that you are, indeed, all right just then, and you still feel as though you don't have enough money, then you can rest assured that your feeling is not based on the state of reality at large. That does not make you wrong to feel the way you do. It is just helpful to know the source of your feeling, so you will know where to put your effort in dealing with your feeling.

If you have found through your self explorations that you really do in that moment need more money, then go resolve your feelings by getting more money. If, on the other hand, you have found through your explorations that you actually have, in that moment, all that you need that money would buy you, then work to resolving your feelings by looking in yourself for the distortion in the perception of reality that has caused them. It is important to know that simply accepting that your feelings with respect to money are not based on reality, while at the same time accepting that it is all right to have your feelings anyway, will help bring you to a place of satisfaction in your experience of life. Practice this for a time and see what arises for you.

A Question from Taru: I'd like to know if it is true that people create their own reality constantly with their thoughts and holding on to the pre-assumptions they have? If this is true how then should a person go about his/her life? What are you supposed to think or drive towards? Is life all about learning to trust yourself more and getting to work with your mind so that you can manifest anything you desire? What is important and worth desiring for, I personally feel a bit bad about being too selfish in my hopes and wishes? Also how tied is ones life to ones birth chart and can that give you advice on what a person should do in her lifetime?

Vywamus's Response

You have asked several different questions all at once, and an attempt will be made to answer each of them in turn.

First, it is not true that anyone creates his or her own reality with thought or with any other mechanism. Reality is already. It isn't something that can be created or destroyed. What you are here to do with all you faculties, including thought, is to explore what is. You are not here to create it. That you are not a creator of reality does not limit you in any way. You are, in each fragment of a moment of which you are aware, offered infinite opportunities to explore reality. Your choice is whether or not to participate in the experience of reality. If you are willing to participate in the experience of reality as it is without judgment, you will discover the true nature of reality. It is the belief that you are here to improve reality--i.e. to create reality-- that confuses you. When your focus is to improve on something, you are trying to create something that is not already in existence, and you are then always in the process of rejecting what already is. What already is is all there is, and it is good enough already. The problem for you is that you do not yet have awareness of the nature of what already is. In order to come to know the nature of what already is, you must give up the effort to create your own reality and begin exploring the reality that already is.

Life is not about learning to trust yourself so that you can use your mind to manifest what you want. It is not that that cannot be done, it is that that is not satisfying. This is a hard thing to believe, because most people believe that if they just had that one more thing, such as more money, their lives would be much more satisfying. The truth is that satisfaction in life never comes from having more of anything. Satisfaction always comes from becoming aware that what you have is already enough. That does not mean that you have to never want anything again in life. Rather it means that, if you want to experience satisfaction in life, you must live in the awareness that your satisfaction does not depend on getting what you want. Want all you want. Just don't fall into the trap of believing that not having what you want leads to lack of fulfillment.

You are here to explore reality. That is your purpose. It doesn't matter what context you explore reality in. Many people believe that to be fulfilled in life they must act out their destinies, and they believe they must do so in a particular set of circumstances that are part of their destinies. This is not true. The universal purpose of all beings, not just human beings, is to discover through self exploration their true nature, and, since everything that is has the same nature, the true nature of all reality. This can be done at any time in any circumstance. It can only be done, no matter what circumstance you are in, by self exploration through practicing self acceptance. There is no other way.

Since the only way to know the true nature of reality is through the doorway of self exploration, then it is obviously not selfish to focus primarily on self. What you think of as self is the only experience you can have. You cannot actually have the experience of another. If you touch another on any level of being, you are still only having your experience of touching the other. You do not feel the sensation of the other or feel the emotions of the other or have the other's thoughts. For this reason, self exploration is the greatest act of service available to you or any other. Thank you for your deep concern.

A Question from Annette: Vywamus, my husband and I are always pondering whether, after physical death, we will still remain aware of each other and feel the special love and connectedness that we feel right now. I guess we wonder about all those special people that we love, and never want to lose touch with. I need help in feeling at peace with death, and the possibility I will lose my "self"...thank you and love.

Vywamus's Response

Dear one, you can never lose your self. No part of life, even that part known as death to you humans, is ever lost. No one you know and love can ever be lost to you. You may focus your attention elsewhere as you move through the experience of being your self, and that can sometimes seem like a letting go; but what is is and always is. Therefore, the relationship you have with your husband is always going to be, and the same is true of your relationship with all others you encounter in life, even those relationships you don't cherish so much.

You see, in reality there is only one moment. Your question presumes that there are moments other than the one you are now in. While the one moment that you are in has seemed to have been fragmented from an experiential perspective for your convenience in maintaining the illusion of duality, the truth is that each and every experience you have is endless. You need not worry that you will ever lose any experience that you love, and you would be helped in life if you would realize that you cannot escape any experience that you hate or dislike. The process of evolution or growth is the process of allowing in to your awareness to an increasing degree the truth that everything that is is you, and it is you all at once. In other words, it is a process of becoming aware of more and not less. Allow yourself to enjoy your journey, even through human death. You will not have to give up anything at all.

A Question from Shea: Dear Vywamus, One of the things I have been aware of is that people seem to always be looking for agreement, spiritually and otherwise. I' m wondering if this is because they feel separated and want to feel Oneness? It seems that if they don' t find agreement, then they need to "make wrong" the non-agreeing person's opinion. This, of course, begets more separation. How do we get past this need to find agreement without "truths" and to allow for others' "truths"and to be peaceful about it? Also, May I ask who Vywamus is and how he/she/it was contacted in the first place? Blessings and Thanks, Shea

Vywamus's Response

It is an interesting question that you ask. The simple answer is to always assume that agreement is present and to continue looking for it until it is found. If agreement it not found, then it could be assumed that it has not yet been discovered, rather than concluding that it is not present. If reality were truly understood, there would not be a tendency to establish that one thing is right, while another thing is wrong. The truth about reality is that there is no such thing as right or wrong.

Reality works like this. There is, in fact, only one moment--not one moment this moment, but one moment forever. If there is only one moment, then reality already exists completely as it is. There can be no additions to or subtractions from reality, so , in the sense that realty cannot be altered, there must, in a sense, be agreement. In other words, what is, which can also be known as reality, is one cohesive unchanging thing. It may appear to be changing, because it is always in motion, but, as a whole complete thing, it never actually changes. In a way, because it is one big thing and always is one big thing, it could be said that it (meaning reality) is always in agreement, because it is always in a state of unity. Agreement can be defined as being at one. All that is is always at one, so it is always in agreement, even though the nature of the agreement, just as the nature of the oneness, is not always (or even often) obvious.

The need to identify some part of reality as right and some part as wrong arises from the misconception that there is or can be more than one thing in existence. This misconception is often called duality or separateness. Human beings, for example, generally believe that there is or, at least, can be, some power or authority greater than themselves. This belief or misconception leads to the concepts of good and bad, right and wrong, better and worse, etc. In order to escape the traps laid by these misconceptions, you must be willing to always look for the oneness or unity in any situation, no matter how unlikely it seems, and to know that, until you have found it, you do not know the truth of that situation. Not to know the truth is no great surprise, after all. Being willing to pursue the truth, even though it is elusive, is the great discipline of life. The way to live in agreement, my dear, is to know it is there, even if you can't find it.

As to who I am, I am a teacher who has made it my work to help human beings discover who you are and how reality works. I do not want anyone to follow me. I want you to know yourselves as completely as possible, and I know that self exploration will lead you to an awareness of all that is. Further, I know that self exploration will reveal to you that you already are everything that you have wanted to be and much, much more than you have ever imagined. I work through many channels, as I have much to teach, and I am eager to have as wide an access to my students as possible. To have contact with me you must simply be willing to do so, and you must be willing to recognize such contact, even when it is not framed as you might expect it to be. Above all else, you must be willing to give up trying to control everything, and you must be willing to give up expectations.

A Question from Jeremy: Dear Vywamus: I am committed to a vision I received for a site and service called SPIRITECH, that raises awareness of the emergent spirituality-technological interface and the mystical and spiritual aspects of cyberspace. As I pursue this vision and manifest it what direction can you give me?

Vywamus's Response

The best direction I can give you is to be willing to consider any and all directions all of the time. Of course, this will not seem possible, but the point is that if you insist on working within the framework that you already know, you won't get very far; so always consider that which does not seem possible to you. Let your vision wander with as little direction as possible, and consider what is revealed seriously. Remember, everything is possible, and I mean this literally.

Another thing to remember is that there is no real division between cyberspace and any other kind of space. All too often , when a person wants to focus on the special aspects of some part of reality, a desire arises to distinguish that part of reality from all other parts of reality. Remember that there are actually no parts to reality--it's always and actually one big whole. Look into cyberspace for all that is, and remember that there is nothing in the nature of cyberspace that is not in the nature of all else. The true exploration of the emerging spirituality of cyberspace is the discovery through direct experience that cyberspace is just one of the multitude of doorways into the experience of all that is. Learn and be a teacher. Use you experience in the furtherance of the awareness of unity on the planet. That is my advice to you.
