A Basset Brood

I think Dagmar had twelve puppies and sat on one. That left eleven. It always made me glad that my mother stopped at five so no one had to get squashed.

When Hector was a Pup

We sold all of the Bassets, but one, Hector. He became my dog.

Well, at least I thought of him as my dog and I don't care what my brother says about it.

I think he's using my leg as a chew stick. All I remember is feeling outraged that my mother took pictures while these four-footed piranhas ate me alive.
